Last night at the budget hearing the City Council voted to remove the Langley Parkway Phase 3 from the city’s capital budget.
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO MADE YOUR VOICES HEARD!!
This is a win for our community and we so appreciate all your efforts. It was you, the Coalition community that…
signed the petition
contacted City Councilors
put up yard signs
talked to neighbors
shared on social media
showed up at the hearings
and more!
You spoke up for Concord’s green spaces and the City Council listened. Thank you for everything you've done to secure this success! Enjoy this moment!
We also want to express our sincere gratitude to the City Council and Mayor for their service to our community. We are grateful for the respect and attention they paid to our concerns and look forward to future opportunities for listening, learning, and discussion. This is government by the people - active, thoughtful, and respectful civic participation. If you have a moment, please let your Councilors know how grateful you are for listening to our community’s concerns.
Let's continue to work together to ensure our city achieves the vision of its Master Plan and our vision as a community:
A city that is accessible for all.
A city with vibrant, livable, walkable villages.
A city committed to protecting, promoting and improving access to green spaces.
A city where we will never be divided with a road like the Langley Parkway Phase 3
We ask that you continue to engage and be a part of the conversation, and continue to bring friends and neighbors into the discussion. Our beautiful city is better when we work together.
Gratefully,
Concord Greenspace Coalition
PS. Please don't throw away your YARD SIGNS - please return them to the original pick up location. Thank you so much!!
PPS. There's more work to be done here, but let's enjoy this important first step.
